Where Is Your ``I AM``?

Is God leading the way in your relationships? Or are you usurping His role when you want to be right?

Let me ask you a question. Where do you place the “I Ams” in your life? Do you say, “I am the man of the house.”, “I am right.”, “I am the woman of the house.”, or maybe “I am the father. So they need to listen to me.”, or “I am the boss. And so they need to follow after me.”? Where do you place those “I Ams” in your life?

It’s very important because sometimes our “I ams” can become a form of God playing. In Exodus chapter 3 verse 14 it says God said to Moses, “I am who I am.” And he said, “Thus you shall say to the sons of Israel, ‘I AM has sent me to you.'”

Now notice what God is saying in scripture here. He is saying, “I am who I am.” He’s not saying, “I am a God.”, He says “I am God. I am who I Am, sent you.” And so sometimes in our life, we try to mess around and say, “I need to be right in this situation and my relationships with my kids” or with my wife or “I’m the man of the house. They should listen to me.” I want to encourage you today to be very careful of where you place the “I Ams” because there is only one I AM, that’s the great I AM, That’s God.
